1Who we are and what these terms cover

These terms govern your use of this website and the Lensential Scout preview (together, "the site"), operated by Lensential LLC, Austin, Texas ("Lensential", "we", "us"). By using the site, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2Information, not advice

• Lensential provides research, analytical work product and custom builds. It is not registered as an investment adviser or a broker-dealer and does not recommend for or against any investment.
• Nothing on the site is an offer to buy or sell a security, or legal, tax or accounting advice.
• Grades, readings and exit figures on the site illustrate our method. They are not predictions of returns.
• Any decision you make is yours.

3Our services

The site describes what we do. When we work for you, a separate written agreement sets the scope, price and other terms, and that agreement governs the work. Where it differs from these terms, the agreement prevails.

4Specimens

Thornlark Diagnostics, Tessaline Packaging Group, Kellmere Instruments, Brindlecote Systems, Rimewater and every company, person and figure named in our specimens are fictional. The specimens show the shape of our reports. Any resemblance to a real company is coincidental.

5Comparisons

The compare page describes other companies from their own public material, read on the date shown and linked. Those companies may have changed their products since. Their names and marks belong to them; they are not affiliated with Lensential and have not reviewed the page. If something there is wrong, write to us and we will correct it.

6The Lensential Scout preview

• The preview is a demo. It may be incomplete, out of date or wrong, and labels marked heuristic are machine reads.
• We may change, limit or withdraw the preview, or your access to it, at any time.
• Use it to research companies, investors and researchers. Do not use it, or anything taken from it, as a factor in decisions about a person's eligibility for credit, insurance, employment or housing, or for any other purpose covered by the Fair Credit Reporting Act.
• Do not use it to send bulk or automated messages to the people it lists.
• Do not scrape it, download it in bulk beyond its own export features, or try to get around its limits.

7Acceptable use

Do not:

• use the site to break the law;
• try to gain access to the site or our systems without permission, or test their security without our written consent (to report a vulnerability, write to hello@lensential.ai);
• disrupt or overload the site;
• copy the site's design or content for a competing service;
• misrepresent your affiliation with us.

8Intellectual property

The site's text, design, specimens and software belong to Lensential or its licensors. You may view and print pages to evaluate our services, and share links to them. The Lensential name and logo and the names of our products are marks of Lensential or its licensors; do not use them in a way that suggests we endorse you.

9What you send us

What you send through the forms or by email is handled under our privacy policy. Please do not send material non-public information through the forms. If you send us feedback or suggestions about this site or our services, we may use them without any obligation to you. What you send us for paid work or a free sample, such as a concept, a deck or a data room, is covered by any agreement for that work, our privacy policy and our disclosures.

The site links to other sites, including the sources on the compare page. We do not control them and are not responsible for them.

11No warranty

The site and the preview are provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the fullest extent the law allows.

12Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Lensential is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or investment losses, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim about the site is limited to one hundred US dollars. This section does not limit liability that the law does not allow us to limit, and it does not apply to work under a separate agreement, which sets its own terms.

13Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute about the site belongs in the state or federal courts in Travis County, Texas, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction.

14Changes to these terms

We may change these terms by posting a new version here with a new date. If you use the site after a change, the new terms apply.

15The whole agreement

These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the site. They do not change any separate agreement for our services. If a court finds part of them unenforceable, the rest still applies.
